Kids Living With Slim
Kids Living with Slim is a follow-up to the 2004 film Living with Slim: Kids Talk About HIV/AIDS. (The word slim is used by many Africans to describe HIV/AIDS.) In the 2004 film, seven children, ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old, talked openly about what it is like to be HIV positive. In this new film, I returned to Africa to try to find the seven children who were featured in 2004 and to capture the changes that have taken place in their lives. The new film incorporates much of the original film, so that viewers who have not seen the 2004 film will understand what the children have gone through.
