Busing: A Rough Ride in Southie (1977)

Award winning documentary film about school desegregation in Boston in the 70s. Portrait of three families whose children are at the center of the conflict surrounding the nation's first experience with court-ordered school desegregation. This historically important film was used throughout America to help prepare cities for their own court-ordered busing experience in the late 70's and 80's, in hopes that the trauma in Boston would not be repeated.
